Pedestrian Struck And Killed On Highway 501, Has Been Identified

The incident occurred around 1:20a.m, one mile South of Conway in the area of Carolina Road.

The identity has been released of the pedestrian that was struck and killed on Highway 501 Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 1:20a.m, one mile South of Conway in the area of Carolina Road.

A 2013 GMC pickup truck and a pedestrian were both traveling North on the highway when the truck driver struck the pedestrian.

The truck driver was not injured in the incident.

The pedestrian died on the scene from several traumatic injuries and identified as 30-year-old, Dorsha Sherman, of Conway.

The crash is being investigated by South Carolina Highway Patrol.
