Pedestrian Suffers Severe Injuries After Being Struck By A Vehicle

An investigation is currently being conducted by South Carolina Highway Patrol.

On Thursday, a pedestrian was hit and injured in the Green Sea area.

Horry County Fire Rescue said a vehicle hit a pedestrian near Sandy Bluff Road and Alpine Drive around 8:40p.m. Several lanes were closed to traffic.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, is suffering critical injuries.

An investigation is currently being conducted by South Carolina Highway Patrol.
