New Rules Have Been Announced For The Surfside Beach Pier
The rules will be put into immediate effect after the pier is officially open.
New rules have been adopted for the Surfside Beach Pier that is currently under construction and expected to reopen next spring.
The changes were announced at a council meeting and consist of prohibiting smoking on the pier, fireworks and glass containers.
With the exception of service animals, pets will also not be permitted on the pier.
Standing or sitting on the railings as well as any sort of disruptive behavior are also prohibited.
Bicycles, skateboards, and other similar equipment will not be allowed and no commercial fishing or shark fishing will be allowed.
Construction on the pier recently resumed after the previous stop-work order was lifted. The rules will be put into immediate effect after the pier is officially open.
