Impress the Kids Tonight with This “Foaming Halloween Pumpkin”

Audra shows a few ways to pull off a fun night with stuff you likely have in the house.

You’ve got a few days to get your things together for the Halloween parties.  In today’s Thursday Tips, Audra shows a few ways to pull off a fun night with your friends and family with stuff you have in the house.  She’s got a few treats that will drum up a few laughs and a science experiment to give your pumpkin its star gross power!  Make raw meat rice krispies by adding red food coloring.  She got the labels here.  For the Q-tips, place marshmallows on toothpicks and dip in caramel.  Make your pumpkin spew:  Mix 20-30 drops of food coloring and 2 Tablespoons of baking soda and 1 Tablespoon of dish soap into 1 cup of warm water. Blend and pour into your pumpkin.  Pour 2 cups of distilled vinegar for a foamy spill!  Your kids will love it.  The reaction is sodium bicarbonate and acetic acid reacting to the carbon dioxide, trapped by the soap bubbles.
