Most Shoppers Will Head Back to Brick and Mortar Stores for the Holidays

Consumers say its largely because they want to touch products before buying.

Good news for local businesses…a holiday retail study is out and shows more than half of consumers plan to go shop in-store this year. 63% of U.S. consumers plan to do at least some holiday shopping in-store this year, which is up from 58% last year, according to a National Retail Holiday Survey 2022. Consumers say its largely because they want to touch products before buying. Some also say it’s to save on shipping and avoid delays. That same study found that more shoppers plan to do more of these things going into the holiday season…dinning out, going out on the town and to parties…more also plan to go the movies and have travel plans.
