Hurricane Roslyn Made Landfall In Mexico As A Category 3

Some people had to be rescued after they became trapped in their homes.

Hurricane Roslyn arrived in Mexico as a Category 3 killing at least two people.

The hurricane brought damaging winds, storm surges, as well as heavy rains which resulted in flash flooding. As of yesterday, nearly 100 thousand people are without power. Damages have been reported to houses and utility poles. Roads were blocked from fallen trees, mud, and other debris. Some people had to be rescued after they became trapped in their homes.

In the hardest hit areas, nearly 90% of residents have been sent to shelters or staying in places in higher areas. The hurricane dropped from a Category 4 to a Category 3 just before making landfall and has since weakened to a tropical storm as it moves further inland.
