If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there are plenty of spooky local events in the area. Catch a flick under the stars in The Market Common at Valor Park! Be there by dusk tonight with your lawn chair and a blanket or two to catch “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.” Visit the scarecrow garden at Rainey Park in Georgetown Saturday 1-3 p.m. for an array of creative scarecrows, ghost stories, games, and candy for the kids! Celebrate the 5th annual Klig’s Kite festival! Head up to the Ocean Club in the Grand Dunes and enjoy some amazing kits as well as food and drinks. The event will be going Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. And finally, don’t forget to support Kind keeper Animal Rescue at their 2nd annual fall festival. It’s going on tomorrow 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. It’s on Water Tower road in Longs. All proceeds from the festival will go towards their new building fund! There will be vendors, food trucks, live music, games, bounce houses, face painting, a dunk tank, adoptable animals. Stop by the WFXB tent on Saturday to say hi!
