The theme park proposed plans to expand to year-round operations beginning January 1st of next year.

The park has always closed and reopened for its season. Now, Carowinds will remain open for guest to experience the park like never before. The park will provide guest the opportunity to participate in more seasonal events throughout the entire year.

The expansion of operations is centered around the parks 50th anniversary.
