Socastee Area House Fire Leaves One Person Injured

On Wednesday, Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to a house fire off of Highway 17 bypass in the Socastee area.

Around 10:00a.m, a large cloud of black smoke was visible in the area and HCFR crews were called to the 1000 block of Malibu Lane. Around 11:15 a-m the fire was contained but one person was taken to the hospital.

The fire is under investigation.
