Look at the Results! Greg and Audra DIY the Turmeric Yogurt Facial on Carolina A.M.

Audra mixes turmeric and yogurt for a DIY cream with impressive results.

We’ve got a skincare DIY for you post sun in the fun!   After summer concludes some head to your dermatologist for a laser treatment that treats any spots that could cause skin damage or develop into concerns.  Those treatments cost hundreds per area.   If you don’t have the cash to hit the spa, give this turmeric facial a try.  You can mix it up at home with 2 ingredients:  turmeric and yogurt.  Many consume turmeric for it’s anti-inflammatory benefits for the body.  Applying turmeric topically may improve atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, wound care, and sun-exposure related aging.  In one study some saw skin firmness after 4 weeks of daily use.   The compounds help fade discoloration and the vitamin c helps brighten.  Pairing it with dead skin-exfoliating yogurt speeds results.

Turmeric Yogurt Facial

Audra found a recipe that mixes 1 Teaspoon of turmeric and 1/2 Tablespoon of plain yogurt.

Apply to areas of concern and let sit for 15 minutes.   Rinse thoroughly.   Don’t leave the turmeric on longer than 15 minutes as has a yellowing tint and could stain.  It’s important to do a skin test before trying any new ingredients on your face.

Sugar Scrub

Audra mixed up a pre-treatment for Greg that was 1 Tablespoon of granulated sugar, 1/2 Teaspoon of olive oil, and a pea size of cleanser.
