Biden Visited Florida To View The Damage Done For Himself

President Biden visited Florida to witness the destruction and damage that Hurricane Ian caused for the state. Biden toured the gulf coast communities by helicopter to see the damage for himself. He then met with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and discussed the wreckage. Though Biden and DeSantis have a past of being rivals, they have decided to put their differences aside and unite their administrations to work together on the rescue and recovery efforts. The two appeared in front of the press for an announcement with the President commenting on the scenes he witnessed. Biden complimented DeSantis on how well he has conducted the recovery for Florida thus far. He shared with Florida that “we are not leaving, until everything is done.”
