Garden City Clean Up Focuses On Clearing The Roads

Atlantic Avenue and Waccamaw Drive North of Atlantic Ave were re-opened after closure due to Hurricane Ian’s impact. Waccamaw Drive runs through Garden City and along the coast. It was hidden under several feet of sand as the storm brought the dunes and sea onto the street. Irregular closures are on going on the Southern part of Waccamaw Drive as well as certain side streets. Workers began cleaning the day after the storm and are continuing to work as quickly as possible.
