Biden To Visit Puerto Rico And Announce Funding To Help Recovery

President Biden will be visiting Puerto Rico weeks after Hurricane Fiona tore through the U.S. territory. Biden plans to meet with residents that were impacted by the storm and he will announce the new infrastructure aid for the island. The new funding is a total of $60 million. It is meant to assist Puerto Rico in situations that could better prepare them for future storms such as strengthening flood walls and creating a new flood warning system. Puerto Rico declared a major disaster and over 1,000 federal response workers were present for support as well as now 450 members of the Puerto Rico National Guard activated.
