Florida Prepares For Tropical Storm Ian

As Hurricane Ian grows stronger, the state of Florida is preparing. Ian is expected to intensify before hitting Western Cuba. According to the National Hurricane Center, it has threats of strong winds and storm surge as high as 9 to 14 feet. It developed in the Caribbean Sea Friday and is expected to reach the U.S. later this week. However, it is too early to determine where the storm will hit and how strong it will be due to it’s wide variety of possible scenarios. The uncertainty of Ian’s path, caused Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis to advise Florida residents to prepare for impact.
