Man Arrested For Eliza Fletcher Murder, Indicted for Rape in Different Case
In a Shelby County Court, 38 year old Cleotha Henderson is facing multiple charges in the killing of 34 year old school teacher, Eliza Fletcher. Fletcher disappeared in Memphis early Friday morning after she went for a jog. Allegedly, Henderson passed by Fletcher in an SUV, got out of the vehicle, chased fletcher, and forced her into the passenger seat. Fletcher’s body was discovered behind a vacant duplex. Henderson has been indicted before on aggravated rape charges involving an incident in 2021. He is now facing charges of aggravated rape, kidnapping, and unlawful possession of a weapon. Henderson was issued a bond of $3,500. He is still incarcerated without bond for the murder charges.
