Suspect Arrested After Live Streaming Memphis Shooting Rampage
A 19 year old suspect was arrested yesterday in connection to a shooting that left four people dead and three others injured across multiple crime scenes in Memphis. At least one of the shootings was streamed live on Facebook which lead authorities to the arrest of 19 year old Ezekiel Kelly. The shootings began before 1 a.m. and continued through the late evening hours and triggered a shelter in place order for part of the city as police searched for Kelly. Kelly was previously charged with criminal attempted first degree murder but pleaded guilty in April of last year to a lesser charge of aggravated assault. He was sentenced to three years in prison but only served 11 months and was released in March.
