Steve Bannon Expected to Surrender on NY State Charges

Steve Bannon is expected to surrender tomorrow as he faces charges from the state of New York. The charges are related to his fundraising efforts to build a wall along the southern U.S. border and have been returned in an indictment and are based on the same conduct Bannon was charged with by federal prosecutors in 2020. Former President Trump pardoned Bannon on the federal fraud charges related to the alleged scheme as he was leaving office but presidential pardons do not apply to state investigations.
