A 5-Minute Walk After Eating Can Regulate Blood Sugar

Ever feel like a nap right after you eat?  That could have to do with your blood sugar.

Ever feel like a nap right after you eat?  That could have to do with your blood sugar.  A new report out says that a 2-5 minute walk can help regulate it.  Those who did intermittent light intensity walking throughout the day saw a reduction in glucose by an average of 17% compared to prolonged sitting. Standing after a meal helps too, but not as much as moving.   Keeping blood sugars from spiking is good for the body as large spikes and fast falls can raise the risk for diabetes and heart disease.
