The best days surrounding Thanksgiving are the Monday or Tuesday before, or on Thanksgiving day. Meanwhile, the worst day is Wednesday before. When it comes to those return flights, the best days to head home are Black Friday, or the Monday or Tuesday of the next week. While the worst day is Sunday.

When it comes to Christmas, the best days to fly are the Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday before, Christmas Eve or the holiday itself. The worst are Thursday, December 22nd and Friday, December 23rd. For the returns, consider booking on the following Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. But, be sure to skip the two days that follow Christmas.
