S.C. House Passes Abortion Ban With Exceptions

Yesterday, the South Carolina House of Representatives voted to approve a total ban on abortion with some exceptions. Those exceptions include pregnancies caused by rape or incest. The chamber initially rejected the bill earlier this week without the exceptions but once Republicans saw the outcome of that vote, they went through a list of complex procedures and votes to bring the bill back to life. The exceptions were added and the bill passed 67-38. The bill has one more routine vote before it goes to the Senate.
