Things That ‘Boomers’ Can’t Seem to Give Up

We all have to adjust to changing times, learn new lingo, and accept that what we thought was hot, is now…not. A website came out with a list of things that boomers still can’t let go of. See what you think…

The mall. With much online shopping available, it has eliminated the need to get out and wait the long lines at checkout. And home shopping networks…no need to spend hours watching for items that you can get on amazon quicker with real reviews.

Speaking of shopping, apparently boomers are stuck on diamonds. The children of the greatest generation love overspending for basic jewelry. Sapphires, rubies and garnets can be just as beautiful and when it comes to spending less…cable TV packages. You no longer need a cord to watch TV. Millennials think cable is overpriced they classifies it as a modern scam. Streaming is often cheaper and provides tailored options.

How about writing checks? Most places don’t accept them anymore. But, if you are still using them the good news is…because of digital technology, banking apps process them with real time.

And finally, ironing. It’s time-consuming and the newer generations have nearly abandoned the practice entirely with a few exceptions. But, then the handy steamer comes into play and wrinkle-release sprays that this generation leaves by the dresser.
