Save Face and Feet at Outdoor Weddings with These Hacks!

Audra brings tips to save your hair from the humidity and your heels from the lawn.

Statistically wedding season is booming into the next few months.   While, summer may be coming to a close, the heat is not going anywhere yet.  Neither is the humidity.  That means frizz.  What’s a bride and her guests to do?  Audra researches a few hacks for this week’s Thursday Tips.

For the hair, get a trim and try anti-humidity spray like Oribe’s Impermeable Anti-Humidity Spray which give hair an invisible veil that helps block out the water molecules in the air.  Audra has been using this since working at WFXB, thanks to the tip from her stylist Barbi Lee, owner of The Salon of Florence.

Karen Long of Brilliant & Stunning Events, offers a few tips for guests heading to an outdoor wedding.  She says to consider your shoes.  Go with flats or use heel protectors that they offer their guests.  And don’t forget the bug spray.   You will need it!

It’s often asked, if the couple postpones the wedding or dare say, cancels, can you ask for the gift back? No.  According to The Knot, if the wedding is not canceled, it’s best to not ask for a physical gift to be returned.  But if cancelled, the couple should make efforts to return the gifts.  However, the couple is not expected to return gifts if the marriage is later annulled or in the case of a divorce.

when it comes to the couple wanting to exchange or return a gift, that’s acceptable but there’s a grace period for that you should consider.  Most places like Amazon give you 180 days to do so.  Their policy states that gifts purchased from your wedding registry are eligible for free returns within 180 days of receipt of your shipment. This return policy does not apply to items you purchase for yourself from your registry.  Make sure to check the policies on other sites that you happen to register.
