Flight Cancellations Reported Yesterday at Airports Across U.S.
Flight cancellations in the United States continue. According to FlightAware, more than 1,300 flights in the United States were cancelled yesterday and more than 7,400 flights were delayed. An additional 900 flights were also cancelled on Sunday. Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport accounted for a large chunk of the cancelled and delayed flights, a big reason for those was the heavy rains and flooding in the area. Travelers in other airports in Texas including Dallas Love Field, Houston and Austin also faced heavy cancellations and delays due to the weather. Other airports affected by cancellations and delays include Newark Liberty, JFK and LaGuardia as well as Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
