Dr. Anthony Fauci Stepping Down in December

Dr. Anthony Fauci announced he’ll be stepping down from his position as the nation’s top infectious disease expert. Fauci will depart from his roles as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and as Chief Medical Officer to President Biden at the end of the year. Fauci has served at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for 38 years starting in former President Ronald Reagan’s administration and helped the nation with their responses against the HIV/AIDS epidemic, West Nile Virus, the Anthrax attacks, pandemic influenza, various bird influenza threats, Ebola and Zika as well as Covid-19.
