Three Injured During Shooting Near Six Flags America Amusement Park in Illinois

Three people were injured last night at the Six Flags America Amusement Park in Illinois. Among those injured included two teenagers, a 17 year old boy from Aurora, Illinois who was shot in the upper thigh and a 19 year old woman from Appleton, Wisconsin who was shot in her lower leg both were taken to an area hospital. A third person was also injured but declined treatment. The shots were fired out of a vehicle around 7:50 p.m. in the parking lot and immediately drove off. According to the Gurnee Police Department the shooting ‘was not a random act, and appeared to be a targeted incident that occurred outside of the park… there was not an active shooter incident inside the park.’
