Man Charged in Connection to Myrtle Beach Motel Shooting

A man was charged in connection to a shooting on Sunday at a motel in Myrtle Beach. 29 year old Stephen Drayton-Thomling is charged with attempted murder and other crimes after allegedly shooting into an occupied room at the Summer Sands Motel. According to warrants, Drayton-Thomling and a victim got into an argument at the motel and Drayton-Thomling hit the person in the head with a pistol then fired shots toward the victim’s room. Reports say the victim lives in the room with his daughter and Drayton-Thomling lives next door. He is behind bars at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
