AAA Reports Drop in Gas Prices Across the United States

Gas prices in the United States have dropped significantly since their highest marks in mid-June. According to AAA, as of yesterday, the national average for regular gas dropped three cents to $4.16 a gallon which is 86 cents lower than their record of $5.02 a gallon on June 14th. Over the past month, the national average has dropped by 65 cents. Also according to AAA, nineteen states have an average gas price below $4. Oil also fell 4% to $90.66 a barrel as of yesterday which was the lowest close since February 10th.
