Three Patrol Cars Damaged During High-Speed Chase in Florence
Three Florence County Sheriff’s Office patrol cars were damaged yesterday following a police chase that ended in a crash near Barringer Street in Florence. Deputies went to the man’s residence to serve a warrant in connection to a robbery charge but the suspect was not home at the time. That’s when another man at the residence tried to make a getaway in a vehicle and backed into a deputy’s car which lead to the chase. The suspect was taken to the hospital for examination and released into FCSO custody and according to Joye, they also have a warrant against him. The car the suspect fled in was also reported as stolen. Formal charges and additional information will be released when it becomes available.
