Monkeypox Cases Rise in South Carolina According to CDC
The number of confirmed Monkeypox cases in the state has risen. According to this morning, the CDC reported 23 confirmed cases of Monkeypox which is up from 13 as of last week. Monkeypox is a rare illness that begins with flu-like symptoms and swelling of the lymph nodes which progresses to a rash of the face and body. Most infections last two to four weeks. According to the CDC, there is now over 6,300 confirmed cases in the United States.
