A Banana a Day is Good for the Ladies

A new study points to foods high in one essential mineral to help women and their heart health.

The saying usually goes “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” but maybe we need to switch up the apples for bananas. At least for the ladies. A new study points to foods high in one essential mineral to help women and their heart health. The Amsterdam University Medical Center says eating foods high in potassium, like bananas could help people, especially older women, ward off some issues like high blood pressure, stroke and heart attacks. Foods like avocados and salmon were also recommend for women. The study covered about 25-thousand men and women and was published in European Heart Journal.
