Biden Announces Executive Actions on Climate Crisis

Yesterday, President Biden announced that he’ll be implementing a number of executive actions surrounding climate change. Included in the actions is an effort to ‘protect communities from extreme heat and dangerous climate impacts’ with $2.3 billion in funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Program as well as including an effort to lower cooling costs from communities who suffer from extreme heat, and potential wind power projects in the Gulf of Mexico which have the potential to power over three million homes with ‘clean energy.’
