Transformer Bursts into Flames at Hoover Dam

A fire broke out at the Hoover Dam yesterday. The blaze was reported around 10 a.m. and started when a transformer caught fire. The fire was extinguished 30 minutes after beginning by the Hoover Fire Brigade and luckily, there were no injuries to employees or visitors. The Hoover Dam is located where Lake Mead meets the Colorado River on the border of Arizona and Nevada and was completed in 1935. It generates enough hydroelectric power to serve 1.3 million people.
