Gas Prices are Less Than $4 a Gallon at Most U.S. Gas Stations

Currently, gas prices in most of the United States are less than $4 a gallon. According to AAA, nearly one in five gas stations or about 24,000 are charging under the $4 mark for a gallon of regular gas and most of those are in the Southeast and oil patch states like Texas and Oklahoma. But overall, the national average is still above the $4.52 mark and all 50 states have an average price of more than $4 with South Carolina being the cheapest at an average of $4.02.
