3 Killed, 2 Injured During Shooting in Greenwood, Indiana

Three people were killed and two others were wounded after a shooter opened fire yesterday in a shopping mall in Greenwood, Indiana. According to Greenwood Police Department Chief Jim Ison, multiple people called 911 to report an active shooter at the Greenwood Park Mall around 6 p.m. last night. Investigators believe the unidentified gunman was shot and killed by a lawfully armed 22-year old who ‘observed the shooting in progress.’ The victims include one male and four females including a 12 year old girl who went to the hospital with minor injuries. The other injured person was hospitalized and is reportedly in stable condition. According to Ison, it’s believed that the suspect used a long-gun rifle but law enforcement have not recovered any weapons from the scene.
