Former S.C Attorney Alex Murdaugh Indicted for Murders of Wife, Son

A South Carolina grand jury has officially indicted Alex Murdaugh for the murders of his wife and son. South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Chief Mark Keel announced indictments for two counts of murder and two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. The now disbarred attorney’s wife Margaret Murdaugh and their son Paul were found shot to death on the family’s property on June 7th of last year. One of Murdaugh’s Attorney’s, Jim Griffin, has said they will not comment on the matter until he is actually charged. The indictments come after authorities discovered blood spatter found on Murdaugh’s clothing, which could place him at the scene of the crime.
