Biden Unveils First Image from James Webb Space Telescope

Yesterday, President Biden unveiled the James Webb Space Telescope’s first image of the Universe. The image shows SMACS 0723 where a massive group of galaxy clusters act as a magnifying glass for the objects behind them. President Biden presented the image at the White House during a preview event with NASA administrator Bill Nelson, who said it’s the ‘deepest image of our Universe that has ever been taken.’ Some of the galaxies and clusters in the image have never been seen before and are shown as they appeared 4.6 billion years ago. More images are expected to be revealed today.
