Highland Park Illinois Shooting Suspect Pleads Guilty

The gunman in Monday’s shooting in Illinois appeared before a judge yesterday. 21 year old Robert Crimo III admitted to carrying out the attack and told authorities that he ‘looked down his sights, aimed and opened fire’ on parade-goers, emptying two 30-round magazines before loading his weapon with a third and firing again. According to a police spokesman, Crimo drove to Madison Wisconsin following the shooting and had been contemplating another attack. A judge ordered Crimo to be held without bail on seven charges of first-degree murder which could result in a sentence of life imprisonment without parole, more charges are expected in the future. Crimo is due back in court on July 28th.
