Ketanji Brown Jackson Sworn in as Supreme Court Justice

Ketanji Brown Jackson was sworn in to the Supreme Court about 30 minutes ago. Brown will make history as the first female African-American justice. After her confirmation in April, Jackson noted that in her family “It took just one generation to go from segregation to the Supreme Court of the United States.” During her ceremony, she took the required two oaths, first from Chief Justice John Roberts who administered the constitutional oath and then from Justice Stephen Breyer who administered the judicial oath.
