Trump White House Aide Cassidy Hutchinson Testifies in Capitol Riot Hearings

The House Select Committee hearings into the Capitol Riots continued yesterday. It featured Trump White House Aide Cassidy Hutchinson who cooperated with the investigation and sat for four closed-door depositions before her hearing. She revealed that former President Trump and his inner circle were warned about the potential for violence on January 6th and how Trump wanted to join his supporters at the Capitol. She also recounted that she heard a secondhand account of how Trump reached for the wheel of the Presidential limo and tried turning it after becoming enraged that his Secret Service agents were blocking him from going to the Capitol during the insurrection. Trump also defended rioters for chanting for the hanging of former Vice President Pence among other things.
