White House to Resume Free Public Tours on July 19th
The White House announced yesterday that it will begin a full operating schedule of free public tours on July 19th. Tours were suspended in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic and limited tours resumed earlier this year on Fridays and Saturdays but now they’ll be offered Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30p.m. Tours are free to the public and can be scheduled through the office of a member of Congress. The White House said it will continue monitoring Covid-19 and operate based on guidance by the CDC. Face masks are not required and anyone who has tested positive for the virus, has symptoms or has been exposed to the virus within 10 days of their tour is being told to stay home.
