Bridge Renamed in Honor of Fallen North Myrtle Beach Police Officer Sergeant Gordon Best

A bridge was dedicated this morning in honor of a fallen North Myrtle Beach Police Officer. The Waccamaw River Swamp Bridge at The Chris Anderson Boat Landing was renamed in honor of Sergeant Gordon William Best as the Sergeant Gordon Best Memorial Bridge. Sergeant Best lost his life on January 1st, 2021 when responding to a call for service at the Barefoot Resort.
