Michigan Gov. Candidate Arrested for Role in Jan. 6 Riot

Yesterday morning, the FBI arrested Ryan Kelley.

A republican candidate for Michigan Governor was arrested in connection to the U.S. capitol attack on January 6th.
Yesterday morning, the FBI arrested Ryan Kelley. According to an affidavit, Kelley was on the capitol grounds and waved to the crowd to move towards the capitol building. But, the documents do not say whether he went inside the building. Kelley faces six charges, including disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds. All of the crimes he’s charged with are misdemeanors. Kelley is among many GOP members challenging Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer in this fall’s midterm election.
