Five People Including Gunman Dead After Shooting at Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Five people including the gunman are dead after a shooting at a medical complex in Tulsa Oklahoma. Officers with the Tulsa Police Department responded to the Natalie Medical building on the campus of Saint Francis Hospital around 4:50 p.m. yesterday on reports of an active shooter. When they arrived, officers found the victims and the gunman dead on the hospital’s second floor. The victims were identified as Dr. Preston Phillips, Dr. Stephanie Husen, Amanda Green and William Love. The suspect has been identified as Michael Lewis. Lewis had back surgery on May 19th performed by Dr. Phillips. blaming Dr. Phillips for his ongoing back pain, he showed up with the intention to kill him and anyone who got in his way, according to a letter found on Lewis at the scene. He was armed with a semiautomatic rifle and a semiautomatic pistol during the shooting. In addition, fewer than 10 people suffered non-life threatening injuries. The Natalie Medical Building is primarily used for sports medicine and orthopedic surgery.
