Supreme Court Clerks Asked for Phone Records

Supreme Court officials are searching for the source that leaked the draft opinion that would overturn Roe v Wade. SCOTUS is taking steps to require law clerks to provide phone records and sign affidavits. Some of the clerks are so alarmed over the move that they have begun exploring whether to hire outside counsel. The move from the court is unprecedented and the most striking development to date in the investigation into who might have provided ‘Politico’ with the draft opinion it published on May 2nd. Justice John Roberts ordered the investigation on May 3rd and designated the court’s marshal Colonel Gail Curley to lead it.
