Five Foot Alligator Seen in Ocean Near North Myrtle Beach

You never know what you might see next to you’re at the beach! A 5 foot long alligator was spotted in the ocean in the Cherry Grove area on Sunday afternoon. The Department of Natural Resources was called to the area of 17th Avenue North around 3 p.m. to remove the gator that was in the surf line. North Myrtle Beach Ocean Rescue Officers assisted North Myrtle Beach Animal Control and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is in the process of relocating the gator.
