Details on How School Shooting Gunman Salvador Ramos Entered the Building Released

More details in the Texas shooting have surfaced. According to a Texas Law Enforcement official, 18 year old Salvador Ramos was not confronted by police before entering the school. Earlier in the week, a DPS representative said that a school resource officer had ‘engaged’ with the suspect before he went into the building. Also it’s also been reported that after crashing his vehicle into a ditch, Ramos shot at two people across the street then approached the school and shot at the building multiple times before continuing inside. Officers arrived on the scene and waited an hour for more resources and personnel to arrive.

It was also reported yesterday that the husband of one of the teachers who died in the incident suffered a fatal heart attack and died two days after his wife’s death. Joe Garcia’s wife Irma was one of the 21 people killed in the mass shooting. The Garcia family says he died of a ‘broken heart.’ The pair were high school sweethearts and married for 23 years. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up for the family.
