North Korea Launches Three Test Missiles

According to South Korea, North Korea reportedly launched three test missiles into the sea earlier today. The missile test came hours after President Biden left Asia where he restated his commitment to defend U.S. allies against North Korea’s nuclear threat. The three missiles are believed to include a pair of shorter-range missiles and one intercontinental ballistic missile. The test would be North Korea’s first ICBM launch in about two months. In March, the nation said that it had test-launched it’s most powerful intercontinental ballistic missile to date which violated a 2018 UN resolution on long-range launches. The tests were North Korea’s seventeenth round of missile launches this year and the first since May 12th.
