New Study Says Felines Can Remember Each Other’s Names
Research claims that cats can learn the names of the other cats a well as the humans they live with.
A new study revealed something interesting about felines. Research claims that cats can learn the names of the other cats a well as the humans they live with. But, the study authors did note that felines are hard to study since they have very little interest in participating. But, here’s how they figured this out. Study authors presented each one with the image of a familiar cat from the same household. They then played either a recording of that cat’s name or an incorrect name. Results show that animals in multi-pet homes spent more time staring at the image of their friend when the wrong name played. The experts think they were studying the image longer because of their confusion.
