U.S. Senate Passes $40 Billion Ukraine Aid Package

Yesterday, the United States Senate voted to pass another aid package for Ukraine. In a vote of 86 to 11, the Senate passed a $40 billion bill to send aid to the country. The legislation will provide money for military and humanitarian aid, including funding to assist Ukrainian military and national security forces, help replenish stores of U.S. equipment sent to Ukraine and provide public health and medical support for Ukrainian refugees. The law was passed in the House earlier this month and will now go to President Biden for signature who will sign the aid package while he’s in South Korea.
