Dow Jones Down 1,160 Point Wednesday Marking Worst Day of Trading Since June 2020

The stock market continues to decline in the United States. Yesterday, the Dow shed more than 1,164 points or 3.6% which is it’s biggest loss since 2020. The S&P 500 lost 4% and the NASDAQ lost 4.73%. these decreases have investors calling for a three-quarter point rate hike at the end of the Fed’s June meeting despite chair Jerome Powell’s assurances that an increase that high isn’t on the table. So far this year, the Dow has fallen 5,095 points, the S&P 500 has dropped over 18% and the NASDAQ has lost around 28%.
